Qatar Airways to Launch Additional Flights to Key Global Destinations
Qatar Airways is expanding its flight network for the upcoming season to major global destinations, including London, Male, Miami, and Tokyo. According to Thierry Antinori, chief commercial officer, the airline is introducing these flights to meet the needs of travellers planning their next holiday in 2024/2025.
“As the World’s Best Airline, Qatar Airways is the best travel companion for international holiday-makers. Our increased flights during the winter holiday season comes as a response to the needs of our passengers who wish to create unforgettable travel experiences,” he said.
More Daily Flights Between London and Doha
One of the main changes is the increased number of flights to the UK. Qatar Airways will now operate 56 weekly flights to London Heathrow, the most by any Gulf airline. This increase is part of the airline’s ongoing partnership with British Airways, which operates two daily flights to Doha.
Starting on October 27, 2024, Qatar Airways will add an eighth daily flight to Heathrow, giving passengers ten flights per day between Doha and London.
Doha Schedule
- Doha to London — QR109: Leaves at 9:30 am, arrives at 2:05 pm
- London to Doha — QR110: Leaves at 3:30 pm, arrives at 1:10 am the next day
In addition to the extra flights to London, Qatar Airways will keep running double daily flights to Edinburgh, three daily flights to Manchester, and daily flights to Birmingham and London Gatwick.
Flights to Miami
Qatar Airways is also increasing its flight operations to Miami. From December 16, 2024, the airline will fly 12 times a week to Miami, up from 10.
Miami Schedule
- Doha to Miami — QR781: Leaves at 1:20 am, arrives at 9:50 am
- Miami to Doha — QR782: Leaves at 11:30 pm, arrives at 9:05 pm the next day
Flights to the Maldives
Qatar Airways will increase its flights to Male from 21 to 28 per week starting December 13, 2024. The increased number of flights will also make it easier for travellers to use Qatar Airways Avios to visit places like Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines.
Male Schedule
- Doha to Male — QR672: Leaves at 1:35 am, arrives at 8:15 am
- Male to Doha — QR673: Leaves at 8:15 pm, arrives at 11:10 pm
Flights to Tokyo
Starting February 14, 2025, Qatar Airways will fly to Tokyo Narita 11 times a week, up from seven. This increased flight schedule means more options for Qatar Privilege Club passengers to travel to Japan, especially for those in Europe or the Middle East.

- Doha to Tokyo — QR808: Leaves at 8:15 pm, arrives at 11:55 am (Tues, Wed, Fri, Sun)
- Tokyo to Doha — QR809: Leaves at 4:25 pm, arrives at 11:10 pm (Mon, Wed, Thu, Sat)
